Tuscaloosa, AL – A federal law enforcement official says two young men have been arrested in connection with the recent string of arson-related church fires in Alabama. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said a third suspect is being sought.
The official said a formal announcement is to be made later. He said the two are being charged with conspiracy and individual counts in the arsons at five Bibb County churches and four in west Alabama last month.
Alabama Public Radio's Bobby Puppione spoke with the ATF this morning and learned a press conference is scheduled for 2 PM today on Airport Road in Tuscaloosa.
