Bad Weather Approaching Alabama

By Alabama Public Radio

Tuscaloosa, AL – States west of Alabama have already been dealing with tornado warnings this morning, and the weather system that's causing those problems is on its way here. Severe thunderstorms are likely across the state today. The best chance for strong weather will be between three o'clock and midnight. The National Weather Service reports some wind gusts could be greater than 60 miles per hour as the storm system approaches. Even before that, winds will be strong today. Sustained winds of more than 20 miles per hour are likely. There's also the chance for isolated tornados.
