Complaint Filed Against Justice Parker

By Alabama Public Radio

Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuscaloosa attorney Joel Sogol has filed a complaint with the State Judicial Inquiry Commission against Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker. The complaint centers on a newspaper article Parker wrote that criticized a decision by the U-S Supreme Court. That decision blocked the execution of murderers who were younger than 18 at the time of their crimes. Parker called it an "obviously wrong" decision. Sogol says the article undermines public respect for the court and the administration of justice. Parker calls the complaint frivolous.
