Mobile, AL – It has been an up-and-down week for Mobile County School Superintendent Harold Dodge. He just found out he was named Alabama Superintendent of the Year. And last night, he found out he'll need to look for another job. The Mobile County School Board voted last night to replace him after eight years in the position. Board members cited written evaluations listing concerns about low employee morale and high overtime costs. The criticisms also said Dodge has a tendency to placate board members at the expense of local school improvements. Just five months ago board members gave him a nearly nine thousand dollar raise. Dodge left last night's meeting without making a public comment.
