More Soldiers Ready to Deploy

Montgomery, AL – Members of another Alabama National Guard unit will say their good-byes Wednesday in Montgomery. Three-hundred members of the First Battalion, 131st Aviation Regiment will be recognized at a deployment ceremony Wednesday afternoon. It'll happen at two o'clock at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery. A Guard spokesman says the 131st will met another 100 soldiers who are based in Arkansas. The unit will train for several months at Fort Hood, Texas, before they deploy overseas. The 131st will provide aviation support in Iraq. The ceremony is open to the public.
