Spring Ahead on Sunday

By Alabama Public Radio

Tuscaloosa AL – Don't forget about Daylight-Saving Time this weekend. The official time shift occurs two A-M Sunday, when you spring your clocks ahead an hour, usually before you go to bed on Saturday. That extra hour falls away on October 29th when we switch back to standard time. Congress has passed a law changing the dates of daylight-saving time, but it doesn't take effect until 2007. Then daylight time will start three weeks earlier, March 11th, and will end one week later, November fourth. The time change is not observed by residents in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
