Tuscaloosa, AL – The nation's news media marked Sunshine Week a few weeks ago with reports on efforts to increase public access to government records and to improve notification of public meetings. Alabama Public Radio's Butler Cain continues that theme this week.
Secretary of State Nancy Worley features a section on her office's web site highlighting Alabama's new Open Meetings Act. As she explains, it's an effort to keep Alabamians informed about where -- and when -- public bodies will be meeting.
