Montgomery, AL – Governor Bob Riley will be leading a delegation to Chicago Monday. The group will attend the BIO 2006 convention. It's a biotechnology event, and the governor and several economic development officials hope to recruit new businesses and investments for the state. Riley says such investments would provide new economic opportunities in Alabama. The state's delegation includes representatives from the University of South Alabama Cancer Research Institute, the Hudson-Alpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Auburn University and U-A-B.
