Tuskegee AL – President Bush spoke at Tuskegee University this afternoon, where he said the nation needs to remain on the cutting edge in research as competition grows over jobs and natural resources from India and China. The comment come a day before the Chinese President is scheduled visit to the White House. Bush also urged Congress to make permanent a tax credit for businesses that invest in research and development. The President also toured a lab at Tuskegee where students were researching nanotechnology, and met privately with the families of four soldiers who were killed in Iraq.
