Montgomery, AL – Jury selection is expected to continue Thursday in the government corruption trial in Montgomery federal court. Former Governor Don Siegelman, former HealthSouth C-E-O Richard Scrushy and two others are facing charges in that case. U-S District Judge Mark Fuller told potential jurors yesterday the trial could last four to six weeks. He says he hopes to seat a jury by tomorrow. Jurors will then get a week off before returning May first to begin hearing testimony. Meanwhile, the four-to-six week estimate may mean Siegelman might not get a verdict before the Democratic gubernatorial primary on June sixth. He has said he's hoping the case will be wrapped up by then. He says he thinks there will be a verdict by Memorial Day.
