Undated, AL – Alabama -- and the rest of the deep south, for that matter -- has a good chance for some more severe weather Thursday. Scattered severe thunderstorms are going to be possible through the evening. Conditions are good for producing a few large storms with hail and strong winds. The National Weather Service says some wind gusts could reach up to 65 miles per hour. Predicting when the storms will occur is always tricky, but forecasters say some could begin developing before noon, and the weather event is expected to last well into the evening. The storms will begin weakening a few hours before midnight.
