Boligee AL – 25 political action committees that helped support several Democratic legislators and legislative candidates have direct ties to Greentrack Race Course. Campaign finance reports show Greentrack gave 6-thousand dollar to 22 of those 25 PACs. Other filings indicate the other three PACs also received 6-thousand dollars. Then on March 15th, 23 of the Greene County PACs transferred more than 132-thousand dollars to the remaining two ... and those two PACs doled out a total of 93-thousand dollars to candidates. 25-thousand dollar contributions were given to Senator Bobby Singleton of Greensboro ... Senator Quinton Ross of Montgomery ... and Representative Oliver Robinson of Birmingham. Greentrack president Luther "Nat" Winn is listed as chairman of five of the political action committees. When asked why he and other set up 25 PACS, he replied that "it sounded like a good number".
