Undated, AL – Residents of twelve Alabama counties will not be allowed to burn anything outdoors for the next six months. And, the burning ban starts now. The state Department of Environmental Management issued the ban to reduce ground-level pollution during the summer. A-D-E-M Director Trey Glenn says there will be restrictions on burning wood and other debris generated by construction, demolition or land clearing. The ban will stay in effect until October. Here are the counties -- Baldwin, DeKalb, Etowah, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mobile, Madison, Montgomery, Morgan, Russell, Shelby and Talladega.
