Mobile AL – David Thomas has been removed from the Mobile County school board. The jury in his impeachment trail found him guilty on all charges yesterday, which automatically removed him from office. Thomas was accused of spending more than nine-thousand dollars of the school system's money on Mardi Gras trinkets. He was also accused of double-billing for a school business trip to Las Vegas. The jury found him guilty on four charges -- willful neglect of duty, corruption in office, incompetence, and offenses involving moral turpitude. That's behavior that violates the moral sentiments of the community. The Mobile County School Board now has 30 days to fill Thomas's seat.
