Anniston AL – The Anniston chemical weapons incinerator remains off line after a furnace broke loose from the ceiling on Monday night. No one was injured, and no chemical agents were in the area at the time of the incident. But Army officials are still unsure whether the accident will delay destruction of weapons stockpile. An investigation into the matter continues. The next scheduled incineration is set to begin in July. Meanwhile, the Army is currently looking for a contractor to lift the massive steel furnace back into place.
