Montgomery AL – The hopes of former Governor Don Siegelman that his government corruption trial would be over by the June 6th primary ... in which he is a candidate ... may have faded. Today, his government corruption trial enters its third week ... and has so far seen a slow pace because of verbal exchanges between attorneys and lengthy cross-examinations. The case also involves 34 counts, four defendants and boxes of evidence. Prosecutors could take another three weeks to finish presenting their side. Defense attorneys have said it could take them at least two more weeks. That would put jury deliberations in mid to late June.
