Malvo Calls 2002 Shooting a Test

By Alabama Public Radio

Rockville, MD – Lee Boyd Malvo says a deadly 2002 liquor store shooting in Montgomery was a test. Malvo testified in a Maryland courtroom Tuesday that he and John Allen Muhammad built a sniper's nest inside their car. It was parked across the street when Malvo says Muhammad killed Claudine Parker and injured Kellie Adams. Malvo said the two later used the modified car in several sniper shootings in the Washington, D-C area. Malvo is testifying for the prosecution in Muhammad's trial in Rockville, Maryland. He exchanged the testimony for a life sentence in Maryland. Muhammad and Malvo still face charges for the Alabama shootings.
