Montgomery, AL – Defense attorneys in the federal government corruption case in Montgomery rested all of their cases Monday. After prosecutors spent six weeks making their case, the defense spent a little more than a day calling witnesses. The attorney for former Governor Don Siegelman -- Vince Kilbourn -- did not call anyone to the stand. He rested shortly after the attorneys for former HealthSouth C-E-O Richard Scrushy and Siegelman's former chief of staff -- Paul Hamrick -- wrapped up their cases. The defense team for former state transportation director Mack Roberts also wrapped up their case. None of the four defendants was called to testify.
