Talladega, AL – The repaving project at Talladega Superspeedway continues on its expected pace. The project foreman says it's the track's first repaving in 26 years, and it should be finished by September first. The project must be done in time to prepare the track for the U-A-W-Ford 500 weekend starting October 6th. International Speedway is the company that owns Talladega Superspeedway, and it's not commenting on how much the repaving project will cost. But speedway President Grant Lynch says because Talladega is NASCAR's largest superspeedway, it's logical to assume this is its most expensive repaving project.
