Huntsville, AL – Madison County has emerged as a battleground in the Republican runoff for lieutenant governor. Luther Strange picked up some support from several business leaders in Huntsville Tuesday. The president of Teledyne Brown Engineering, James Link, says Strange knows Washington because of his lobbying experience, and he says that'll help north Alabama get federal funding for an Army base and NASA space center. Strange says strong support in that area is critical for next week's runoff against George Wallace Junior. Meanwhile, Wallace is getting support from the primary election's third place finisher -- Madison County Commissioner Mo Brooks. Brooks says Strange's lobbying work will create too many conflicts of interests.
