Jacksonville, AL – The city of Jacksonville will host more than 300 math and science teachers next week. Another Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative Leadership Academy will open Monday (7/24) at Jacksonville High School. About 24-hundred teachers from 259 schools are attending similar academy training sessions. Governor Riley says the program's budget has increased from 300-thousand dollars three years ago to 22 million dollars for the next fiscal year.
