Hayden, AL – A fire that heavily damaged a Blount County church in March has been labeled as arson. That makes it the 14th case of arson since February. Ragan Ingram, a spokesman for the state Fire Marshal's office, says the fire that destroyed Faith Church of the Nazarene in Hayden was set intentionally. The blaze occurred March 24th. It was almost six weeks after a series of blazes that damaged or destroyed several churches in rural central and west Alabama in early February. Three Birmingham-area men have been charged in connection with those church fires. Their trial is set for November 13th.
