Alabama Journalism Student Recounts Evacuation

Tuscaloosa, AL – Kristen Trotter is a University of Alabama student who spent the summer in Beirut, Lebanon, working for the English-language Lebanese paper, the Daily Star. Trotter was among the Americans recently evacuated from the country's capital city during its war with Israel. Alabama Public Radio's Ben Foster asked Trotter what it was like to be following the conflict in the newsroom and then step out into the conflict.
