Florence, AL – An organization that travels across the state to keep the traditions of the past alive spent two weeks in Florence last month training those interested in preserving folk life. Alabama Folklife
Association Director Joyce Cauthen says Folklife holds a Community Scholars Institute each year. Pat Sanders, from our University of North Alabama Bureau in Florence, spent time talking with Cauthen who says folk life is not to be confused with folklore.
