Muscle Shoals, AL – Lots of people still have yet to realize just how many songs from the 1970's were recorded in the small towns of Muscle Shoals and Sheffield. The studio where a lot of the sound originated fell into disrepair and was about to be destroyed. However, through the efforts of former Chicagoan Noel Webster, Muscle Shoals Sound Studio was saved. The studio is now a recording-museum set up in almost the exact same configuration as the original. Pat Sanders with our University of North Alabama Bureau recently visited the studio for a journey to the past.
