Baxley Released From Hospital

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Baxley's chief of staff, John Hamm, says it's uncertain how long she will be in Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital in Birmingham. But her doctors expect her to make a full recovery. The 68-year-old lieutenant governor started feeling ill a week ago and went to UAB Hospital for treatment. Her stroke came two weeks after she lost the race for governor to Republican incumbent Bob Riley.
