Mobile, AL – A trade forum in Mobile will spotlight expanding opportunities in China for Alabama businesses. Gov. Bob Riley says the December 12th forum is a follow-up to his visit to China last July. Riley and business leaders plan to attend. Zheng Zeguang, China's deputy ambassador to the United States, will deliver the keynote address at the forum called China Business 2006: Expanding Opportunities for Alabama Companies. Traderoots, the U-S- Chamber of Commerce's trade education program, is presenting the forum at the Convention Center as part of their China Business 2006 initiative. China is Alabama's fifth largest trade partner. Among other issues, the forum will offer information on finding suitable partners, licensing, sales and marketing, distribution and trading, customs clearance and regulatory issues.
