Gadsden, AL – A five-year-old boy who was abducted from the parking lot of a convenience store after his mother went inside was found dead early Tuesday morning. A dispatcher with the Etowah County Sheriff's Department said the body of Geontae Glass was discovered in a rural area. The child was abducted shortly after 6 am Monday from a store in Albertville. Authorities said the boy's mother left him asleep in the back seat of her car with the engine running while she went inside a store to buy juice. Witnesses reported seeing a man get out of a pickup truck and get into the vehicle before driving away. Alabama state troopers canceled an Amber Alert.
