Baxley Rehabs After Stroke

By Associated Press

Birmingham, AL – Lieutenant Governor Lucy Baxley has completed two weeks in a rehabilitation hospital in Birmingham, where she's recovering from a stroke. Her chief of staff, John Hamm, says she's in good spirits and is undergoing physical therapy each day on her left hand and left leg. Hamm says no discharge date has been set for the lieutenant governor, but she's hopeful of being out by Christmas. Baxley suffered a stroke November 22nd while in Birmingham to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family.
