Sessions Supports Bush's Plan for More Troops

By Alabama Public Radio

Washington, D.C. – The Mobile Republican says Congress has handled the Iraq War irresponsibly. He calls a resolution approved yesterday by a Senate committee ``cynical and toothless.'' The resolution dismissed Bush's plans to increase troops in Iraq as ``not in the national interest.'' Sessions says it could have ripple effect on the battlefield and among our allies. He said he plans to fight efforts to pass it in the full Senate.
