Alabama Lawmakers Discuss Congressional Reform

Washington, DC – Ethics reform is one of the prime issues lawmakers are grappling with in the opening days of the Democratically-controlled Congress. Lawmakers already adopted some mild reforms to prohibit lobbyists from paying for lawmakers' travel and to ban all gifts. And Congressional leaders intend to approve some deeper reforms in the coming weeks. Many Americans find Washington to be a noxious place where crooked behavior is the norm. From Capitol Hill, Chad Pergram talked with Alabama lawmakers to examine the allure of power in Washington and what makes politicians go wrong.
