Albertville, AL – The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs said the expansion is expected to create up to 500 new jobs over the next three years.
The agency said the funding will be used to provide water services for fire protection and waterwater treatment.
AIC currently run its operations out of two leased hangers at the Albertville Airport. The new plant is expected to open in March 2008. The company perform maintenance services on Blackhawk helicopters used by the US Army and Air Force.
Albertville will add an additional 190-thousand dollars to the project. That money comes from a grant provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
