Birmingham, AL – A Birmingham woman accused of threatening to blow up a school in Jefferson County is out of jail on three-thousand dollars bond.
Jefferson County Sheriff's detectives recently arrested 38-year-old Cathy Nijim and charged her with making a terrorist threat.
According to a statement, Nijim is a parent who allegedly made the bomb threat last October. But it did not state which county school was targeted. Deputies said bomb-detection dogs searched the school and found nothing.
Under Alabama law, making a terrorist threat is a Class C felony, which is punishable by one-to-ten years in prison.
