Dothan, AL – Dothan-based Movie Gallery plans to offer an online video rental service by late this year, complementing its retail store business.
C-E-O Joe Malugen, in a statement, said it will extend its movie kiosk program, which operates movie vending machines in supermarkets, malls and other areas. Movie Gallery said it plans to roll out about 200 more units, on top of the 74 it currently has operating under the Hollywood Video brand, during 2007.
The company's online video rental service will begin in mid-to-late 2007. Pricing information was not available.
