Former Chief Justice Joining Law Firm

By Associated Press

Birmingham, AL – Former Alabama Chief Justice Drayton Nabers will soon join a Birmingham law firm.

The Maynard, Cooper and Gale law firm in Birmingham announced yesterday that Nabers will become a shareholder in the firm on April first and will focus on mediation and arbitration.

Nabers was appointed chief justice in 2004 by Governor Riley. Nabers won the Republican primary last year but he lost the general election to Democrat Sue Bell Cobb.
