Bus Crash Victims will be Remembered at Prom

By Associated Press

Huntsville, AL – Four Lee High School juniors who were killed when their school bus fell from an interstate overpass last fall will be remembered at the school's senior prom Friday night.

Candles and plaques for Nicole Ford, Christine Collier, Tanesha Hill and Crystalle McCrary will be placed at the entrance to the formal dance.

The bus was carrying 40 Lee students to a technical school when it careened over an elevated portion of Interstate 565 and fell nearly 30 feet onto a city street below. Along with the four deaths, dozens of students were injured in the November 20th crash.

Lee senior Dexter Strong said "no other class has had to endure the things we've had to endure." He said the tragedy has given his classmates a stronger appreciation for life and friendship.
