Mobile, AL – After being shuttered for more than three decades, a downtown Mobile landmark has been brought back to life. The historic Battle House Hotel opened its doors to guests this past weekend (5/12). Hotel Manager Margo Gilbert and project director Ron Blount provide a quick tour.
OUTRO: The historic Battle House Hotel in Mobile underwent an extensive renovation and rebuilding funded by the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The hotel first opened in 1852 but had to be rebuilt following a fire in 1905. Alabama Public Radio's Eric Lowe prepared this report.
