Historic Area in Talladega Burns

Tuscaloosa AL – An early morning (Thursday) fire has heavily damaged a historic part of the city of Talladega. The fire engulfed about a half-block area in the downtown district. Investigators say the fire started in the old Michael Supply Building off Court Street at around 4-30 this morning. The buildings are owned by Talladega Mayor Brian York owns the buildings and are located near the Courthouse. Investigators have not released information on how the fire started.
