Montgomery, AL – A Montgomery judge has postponed the trial of former Alabama Secretary of State Nancy Worley a month.
Circuit Judge Truman Hobbs Junior took the action Wednesday after Worley's defense attorneys said they needed more time to review thousands of e-mails turned over by the prosecution.
Worley had been scheduled to being trial on Monday, but the judge rescheduled it for July ninth.
Worley, indicted in March, faces misdemeanor and felony charges. She's accused of soliciting five employees in the secretary of state's office for help in her unsuccessful re-election campaign last year.
