President Bush to Tour Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant

By Associated Press

Decatur, AL – President Bush will make a stop in the Tennessee Valley later this week.

According to an article in Tuesday's Decatur Daily, the White House confirmed Bush will tour the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant near Athens on Thursday afternoon. It would be his first-ever visit to the city.

Bush is expected to highlight and push his stalled energy proposals pending in Congress. One of his proposals call for increasing the number of nuclear power plants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Bush is also scheduled to visit Mobile Thursday to attend a fundraiser for Alabama Republican Senator Jeff Sessions.
