Birmingham, AL – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will be in Birmingham on July ninth for a fund-raising reception that's designed to attract average citizens.
The fund-raiser at 5 p-m at the Sheraton Hotel downtown will cost 25 dollars per person and is open to the public. It was organized by Alabama Congressman Artur Davis.
Davis says the low-dollar fund-raiser shows Obama appreciates the people of Alabama and believes he can win the state's Democratic presidential primary on February fifth.
Obama was last in Alabama on March fourth, when he visited Selma.
