Trinity, AL – A fast moving storm that swept across Morgan County Wednesday spawned a small tornado.
According to National Weather Service meteorologists in Huntsville, the twister touched down in the city of Trinity at about 11 a-m. Survey teams determined that the twister was an E-F-Zero -- its highest estimated winds were 65 miles per hour.
Meteorologists said the small twister was approximately 25 yards wide with a path of one-quarter mile.
One residence sustained minor damage - other storm damage was confined mostly to uprooted trees and snapped limbs.
No one was hurt.
