Enterprise Receives $6M Check to Rebuild Schools
By Associated Press
Enterprise, AL – The city of Enterprise has six (m) million dollars to use to rebuild its storm damaged high school and elementary school.
The check was presented Monday to Enterprise Schools Superintendent Jim Reese by Bruce Baughman, director of the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.
The community is slowly recovering from a deadly March first tornado that destroyed Enterprise High School, killing eight students. The twister also damaged Hillcrest Elementary School.
E-M-A also indicated the city is eligible to get another three (m) million dollars in FEMA aid.
Reese previously said combining FEMA funds with state funding and insurance payments should allow the city to rebuild the schools.
