Undated, AL – There's some good news regarding Alabama's drought. The latest survey released Thursday from the U-S Drought Monitor shows the area of Alabama affected by the worst drought condition is now about 42 percent.
That's approximately 2 percent less than last week's survey.
Still, the entire state is being affected by various stages of drought. The D-4 drought area, the worst on the scale remains centered on North Alabama - the only such conditions in the nation.
