Gas Prices Increase Again

By Associated Press

Undated, AL – No matter how you slice it, the price of gas is hurting the pocketbook.

Nationally, Triple-A reports the average price for a gallon of regular has risen to yet another record high of just under $4.11.

In Alabama, its also a record high, the statewide average for regular is $3.96 a gallon.

Tuscaloosa has the state's highest metro average for regular at $3.98 a gallon. Montgomery was the cheapest at $3.96.

AAA says people can hold down their overall gasoline costs by car pooling, keeping their vehicles well maintained, not driving aggressively, and slowing down a bit.
