Tuscaloosa, AL – It's Christmas season and that means it's time to brave the shopping malls, hang the lights, and put up the tree. With the country officially in a recession, many holiday plans this year are falling victim to cost cutting. Some people are scrimping on gifts others are scaling back travel plans, but are Christmas trees recession proof? Alabama Public Radio's Ryan Vasquez finds out.
