Montgomery, AL – State Treasurer Kay Ivey says the Alabama Legislature needs to do something in its final two meeting days Thursday and Friday to secure the state's financially troubled prepaid tuition plan.
Ivey leads the board that oversees the Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Plan. She said Wednesday the board's options for keeping the program alive will be limited if the Legislature doesn't provide a funding source this week or pass a resolution pledging to do that next year.
