Gov. Riley Schedules Job Hunting Trip To Three Continents

Montgomery, AL – Alabama Gov. Bob Riley plans to leave Friday on a 13-day economic development trip that will take him to three continents.

Riley said at a news conference Monday that he will travel with a delegation of state and local government officials and business leaders to France, Singapore and Australia. The group will leave Montgomery Friday and return on June 24.

Riley made the announcement in Montgomery while joined by Australia's ambassador to the United States, Dennis Richardson.

Riley said the Alabama group's itinerary includes a stop at the Paris Air Show, one of the world's top aviation business events. Riley said he has scheduled meetings with executives of 11 aerospace companies at the air show.
