Montgomery, AL – Attorney General Troy King says Alabama will receive $2.9 million from the record-breaking $2.3 billion in fines being paid by Pfizer Inc.
The Justice Department announced the penalty Wednesday and called the world's largest drugmaker a repeating corporate cheat.
King said part of the $2.9 million going to Alabama is restitution for Medicaid drug expenses and part of it will be used for consumer protection activities.
