Clanton, AL – Seven Alabama communities have received hazard mitigation grants totaling $151,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
FEMA says the grants were issued to Chickasaw, Tarrant, Birmingham Water Works, Autauga County EMA, Dale County EMA, Geneva Water Works and Garden City.
The grant program allows recipients to pursue projects to lessen the loss of life and property due to natural disasters.
